Poem for April 18, 2008 – Questionnaire

When did you first realize the world hated you?

How did you make it stop?

What did you believe before you learned language?

Were you right then, or are you right now?

How much dust is on your lips?

Choose one: shoulders, shutters, chenille, shatter.

If you learn to paint the flight of dragonflies, will she (he) take you back?

What is the stupidest opinion you hold?

What would make you give it up?

Would you say you sleep on the job, or you work in your sleep?

How will you ever explain this?

What can you make of these: endives, a black feather, snowblind, bootprints, Orion, gnats?

What would make her (him) stop loving you?

Why haven’t you done it yet?

If you think this is silly, be thankful I cut about 1/3 of the questions from the rough draft.
