Poem for April 5, 2008 – Out

Out

On Saturday, I took my daughter
to the dairy farm, where cows
stand drowsily in cubicles
twice a day to be milked
by robot suckers. Birds fly constantly
overhead, their nests in the steel rafters.
No one looks up.

Comments:
A simple slice of life, with no deeper meaning.
